Trump Administration Releases Proposed Rules on Drug Pricing
The Trump administration has released its anticipated proposed rule to lower drug prices titled "Modernizing Part D and Medicare Advantage to Lower Drug Prices and Reduce Out of Pocket Costs." Policy changes to DIR fees are a main feature of the proposed rule, which would address pharmacy DIR fees by redefining the "negotiated price" to include all pharmacy price concessions. 32 States Sign Document Showing Support for Arkansas PBM Case at US Supreme Court
32 states signed an amici curiae document showing support for Arkansas and requesting the US Supreme Court hear Arkansas's appeal of the US Eighth Circuit Court's PBM decision. In June, the Court ruled that the Arkansas PBM law of 2015 is preempted by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and therefore could not be enforced. No announcement has been made yet if the US Supreme Court will decide to hear the case.

      Effective January 1, 2019               SB 376  requires all pharmacies in New Hampshire that sell over the counter pseudoephedrine (PSE)/ephedrine (EPH) products to participate in NPLEx, which provides real time PSE electronic tracking in accordance with the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act (CMEA). NPLEx is provided FREE of charge.
